SOLANCIS hosts ceremonies for the 40th anniversary of PNSAC
As part of the ceremonies for the 40th Anniversary of the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park (PNSAC), Solancis had the pleasure of hosting the event “Technological Innovation and Circular Economy in the Use of Geological Resources”.
The event, which was opened and moderated by the director of PNSAC, Dr. Maria de Jesus Fernandes, and introduced by the CEO of Solancis, Mr. Samuel Delgado, was attended by the following speakers:
- Professor Carlos Neves (Instituto Politécnico de Leiria) on the topic: “Factories of the future – the relationship with us and with everyday life”;
- Dr. Célia Marques (ASSIMAGRA) on the topic: “The sustainability of the extractive industry in PNSAC – making it compatible and cooperating for the rational exploration of mineral masses and the valorization of the territory”;
- Geological Engineer Marco Aniceto (SOLANCIS) on the topic: “Exploration and sustainability of natural and energy resources”.
The session, which took place on June 28, was attended by around 100 participants and ended with a visit to the SOLANCIS facilities, followed by a picnic organized by the Municipality of Alcobaça in the PNSAC.
PNSAC also presented participants with a small souvenir from SOLANCIS, produced in Azul Mónica Silver limestone.
